A high-rise project of the Tamil Nadu Housing Board (TNHB) in Mannarpuram Old Circuit House Colony in Trichy would be completed before December 2022, district collector S Sivarasu said on Saturday.
Sivarasu was speaking to reporters after inspecting the construction site.
The 464 dwelling units in the four high-rise towers — each having 14-15 floors — will be utilised under the Tamil Nadu Government Rental Housing Scheme (TNGRHS) to serve as residential quarters for the government employees.
“There are four types of dwelling units, quality of the construction work is being ensured at every stage. Deadline will be adhered to,” the district collector said.
The project is being implemented at a cost of Rs 103.50 crore on 3.30 acres of land.
Another high-rise project of the TNHB is coming up in Varaganeri on the Thanjavur Main Road. The Rs 28.22crore project comprising 56 units on 14 floors would be completed before April 2023, the district collector added. The 56 flats will be sold to the general public.
