Only three of 99 leasehold properties sold in e-auction

The poor response to the leasehold properties on offer is despite the CHB reducing the reserve price by about 15% in comparison to the last e-tender for these units.

CHB e-auction of leasehold property flopped, with only three out of 99 properties drawing bidders. Of the 53 freehold residential properties on offer, 19 were sold in the auction that concluded on Tuesday.

The poor response to the leasehold properties on offer is despite the CHB reducing the reserve price by about 15% in comparison to the last e-tender for these units.

The CHB had invited e-bids for sale of its built-up residential units and built-up commercial units on freehold and leasehold basis on August 10.

The last date for submission of e-bids was September 6 till 10am. These were opened from 10.15 am. The CHB generated Rs 14 crore in revenue from Tuesday’s auction.

A two-bedroom dwelling unit in Sector 49 fetched a highest bid of Rs 90 lakh against a reserve price of Rs 85.40 lakh.
