JMC-Heritage commissioner Vishram Meena on Thursday directed officials to conduct daily monitoring in the Walled City to ensure that no one tampers with the nature of heritage buildings and take strict action against those found doing illegal constructions.
The commissioner directed officials to take immediate action against 53 illegal constructions identified by the vigilance branch of the corporation along with submitting an inspection report every day all the deputy commissioners.
In areas under JMC Heritage 22 illegal constructions have been identified in Hawa Mahal Amer zone, 23 in Kishanpole zone and eight in Adarsh Nagar Zone.
The commissioner also instructed all the deputy commissioners to conduct effective monitoring for door-to-door garbage collection in the city. “Any lapse in the cleanliness system of the city would not be tolerated,” said Meena.
