26 green expressways in the next three years-Nitin Gadkari

Government will construct 26 green expressways in next three years, said Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari, told the Parliament.He stated that India’s road network will be as good as that of the US by 2024.

During his response to the supplementary, the minister said that the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has an AAA rating and no shortage of funds.

He also stated that the government would be constructing 26 green expressways in the next 3 years. These will help people travel from Delhi to various places in the country in just two hours. NHAI can build 5 lakh km of roads in a year.

Once the projects are completed, people can travel from Delhi to various cities in just 2 hours. They can also travel to Amritsar in 4 hours, Delhi to Katra in 6 hours, Delhi to Mumbai in 12 hours, and Delhi to Bengaluru in 2 hours. It used to earlier take 4.5 hours to travel from Meerut to Delhi but now people are coming in 40 minutes.Gadkari had earlier claimed that under leadership of PM Modi, India’s road infrastructure would be similar to that of US before the 2024 general elections. He also stated that the government has no shortage of funds.
